Cholesterol And High Fractose Corn Syrup - Very Bad For Your Liver!

Cholesterol And Fructose

Do you know that even small amounts of high fructose corn syrup can damage your liver?

A new study on high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) shows just how bad a daily indulgence in HFCS can be, even in small amount.

This is because Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) begins slowly as fat accumulation in the liver. This so-called "silent epidemic" has no symptoms.

After a short period of time consuming high fructose corn syrup, inflammation begins and liver scar tissue develops. Beyond that, Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) can turn into dangerous chronic conditions, including type 2 diabetes, liver cancer, and heart disease.

The Truth About High Fructose Corn Syrup - The Harmful Effects

Sadly, nearly one in every four Americans has this disease, and many of them don't know it.

Eating food or beverages containing high fractose corn syrup daily can attack on your liver.

US researchers at the University of California recently revealed a frightening connection between high fractose corn syrup(HFCS) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD0 is frightening because indications of NAFLD development began very quickly.

After just two weeks, subjects who consumed either fructose or HFCS as 25 per cent of their daily caloric intake, which, according to the US Department of Agriculture, a LOT of people do. They showed significant blood level spikes of LDL 'bad' cholesterol and triglycerides.

This indicates a potential disaster in the making. And even though we have been brain washed to worry about low density lipoprotein (LDL) the "bad cholesterol". This time it's all about the triglycerides.

In non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, (NAFLD) triglyceride is the dangerous fat that accumulates in the livers of people who drink little or no alcohol.

This resulting inflammation, scarring, and destruction of liver cells is the same thing that happens in people who drink alcohol in excess.

High Fructose Corn Syrup (Killer Sweetener)

Last year, a study where dietary information was gathered from 400 subjects with non-alcoholic fatty disease (NAFLD) showed that more than 80 per cent of the subjects drank high fractose corn syrup (HFCS) beverages, and nearly 30 per cent said they did so every day.

Liver scarring was most pronounced in those with the highest high fractose corn sytup (HFCS) intake.

However, if you find yourself craving a daily fizzy drink or some other treat that's sweetened with high fractose corn syrup, (HFCS), don't fool yourself into thinking that a little won't do any harm.

Remember, even a small amount of this Franken-sugar can lead to serious damage, very quickly. So be warned!
